09 January 2020, Addis Ababa. Ethiopian Environment and Forest Research Institute (EEFRI) received the first batch of equipment (Wood Processing Technologies/tools) from the Swedish government through the SIDA support program of “Institutional Strengthening for Catalysing Forest Sector Development Project in Ethiopia”. The project is currently implemented in collaboration with the SLU, EFCCC, CIFOR and WGCF-NR.
The tools will enable EEFRI to renovate and modernize one of its research centers, namely Forest Resources Utilization, Innovation Research and Training Center (the then Wood Technology Research Center).
