BRIDGING SCIENCE AND LANDSCAPE POLICY

Ethiopian Forestry Development (EFD) leadership, FOLUR project coordinators, researchers, and senior forestry experts, the gathering marked a pivotal milestone for the Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration (FOLUR) Impact Program.
At the heart of the workshop was the projects activity (3.2.6) which is a core technical component tasked with “determining optimal tree spacing or plant density and annual biomass increment rates for selected indigenous tree species”.
Forestry researchers presented rigorous field inventory findings and draft project proposals designed to transform ecological research into actionable field interventions across Ethiopia’s degraded forests, agroforestry landscapes, and coffee ecosystems and with a special focus in to FOLUR project implementation areas.
